National Scenic Byway running 54 miles along the crest of the Ouachita Mountains from Talihina, Oklahoma to Mena, Arkansas. Highway 1 on the Oklahoma side, Highway 88 on the Arkansas side. More than 20 overlooks with sweeping mountain views, peak fall color in mid-October, and Queen Wilhelmina State Park at the east end. Elevations run 2,000 to 2,600 ft along the ridge.
